If you cannot find anything on the domain name then you would need to use a program called a reverse lookup directory. A reverse directory is a database which contains information on every IP address in the world. These directories have been compiled by private companies and are the best way to find the information you are looking for. Once you have entered the address into the search box of the directory you will be given the name of the domain owner. You will then be able to see his or her age, location, ISP, email address and so much more. Another good thing about using a directory is that you are able to view not only the name of the person who owns the IP address, but also the address and so much more information. Even more useful is the fact that you are able to view the country where the IP address came from. Most people don't even know this, but every country has an internal name server, which is used to get information back about its residents. For example, the United States has an internal name server which is used to access information about people and their addresses. If you are trying to carry out a reverse lookup on a domain name, you can do it for free. The government's website does provide information about the owner of the address, the time they were registered and more. If you want to view the full report, which includes information such as criminal records, death records and a host of other data, you may need to pay a small fee. You may wonder what the big deal is about paying a private company to do this kind of search for you, but in reality, it makes a lot of sense. Even the government stores data about individuals with their private details, which is why you need to make sure you do a name search yourself. There's nothing wrong with that and it's definitely worth the money. |
